Choosing your Wedding Photographer
Your wedding photographs are one of the most important parts of your wedding day. They need capture the essence and memories of your day. There are many wedding photographers out there – some fantastic ones and some not so fantastic.
In the first instance ask for recommendations from friends and family and ask to see some of their photos. If you like what you see make an appointment to discuss your requirements. If you don’t have a recommendation, the Internet or a local wedding fair is a great place to start. You can check photographer’s credentials either on the ‘British Institute of Professional Photography’ or the ‘Master Photographers Association’.
You need to decide on how much you have to spend on your wedding photography. Wedding packages can start at £395 up in to the thousands depending on your requirements and albums.
There are different styles of photography including traditional, reportage and contemporary. Make sure you have a good look through the photographer’s portfolio to ensure they cover the types of photos you are after.
Finally, its important you take into consideration the personality and flexibility of the photographer. If you feel comfortable around them, they are more likely to create real pictures that reflect your day, you and your guests.
