Choosing your Wedding Breakfast Menu – Some points to consider.

Budget – Be clear on the amount you have to spend on each guest and stick to it.  Choosing a menu that uses the seasons produce will keep costs downs.

How many Guests are you feeding?  The amount of guests you are catering for will impact on your menu.  If you having a small gathering then a more complicated menu that requires more skill is possible.  If you are catering for 300 guests then maybe an elaborate buffet is the answer.  All guests will be able to find something they like.

Summer or Winter?  Make you sure you consider the time of the year.  A hot rich meal probably wouldn’t go down well in the summer like wise with a light salad in the winter months.

What time will you be eating?  If a meal is going to be served soon after the ceremony then a light snack mid evening reception will help your guest’s party into the night.  If there is a long break between the ceremony and meal consider serving light canapés to hold off hunger.

Special Diets and Children?  Make sure to ask guests about special diets and vegetarians.  Most venues and catering companies will happily cater for these guests with a separate menu if you give them plenty on notice.  If children are attending, ask their parents if they will eat the main menu or if something else will be required.
