When planning their dream wedding, many future brides and grooms look to Pinterest for ideas and inspiration, but a new study shows that Disney is the top wedding theme when it comes to media and pop culture.

Engagement ring and wedding band specialists Shane Co. searched 15,000 Pinterest boards across 45 of the most popular wedding themes and discovered that Disney is not only the #1 pop culture-related theme but also the #5 most-pinned wedding theme overall.
Top Wedding Theme – Media and Pop Culture
It’s no surprise that wedding searches on Pinterest include period books, movies, and TV shows like “The Great Gatsby” or “Bridgerton,” but despite a bit of competition from a few of its own franchises, Disney definitely takes the cake with 103,478 pins, more than twice as many as the runner-up.
Top Wedding Theme – Overall
Overall, “vintage” is the clear winner, with many couples planning weddings that pay tribute to bygone eras like the roaring ’20s, the fabulous 50s, or even the golden age of disco (aka the ’70s). Still, Disney manages to hold onto the #5 spot, beating out long-standing holiday-related themes like Halloween and Winter Wonderland.
