Proposing to the person you love most in the whole world is nerve-wracking enough. However, there are extra challenges afoot if you happen to be the proud owner of a boisterous, hilarious dog.
With great amusement, a woman named Bree Lenehan has revealed how gorgeous footage of her boyfriend’s proposal ended up being hilariously photobombed by their dog.
A health, lifestyle and positivity expert with a huge Instagram following, Bree has been with her partner Dylan for seven years, and his proposal couldn’t have been more beautifully planned.
In a video that looks cut straight from a movie scene, Bree’s now husband-to-be can be seen gazing lovingly into her eyes beside a picturesque lake. Accepting the ring with obvious joy, Bree can be seen grinning from ear to ear, letting out a small, delighted shriek of excitement.

Little did the lovebirds know at the time that – just as he was slipping the ring onto his new fiancée’s finger for the very first time – their dog was “dragging his butt along the grass” in the direction of the lake, “living his best life”.
It’s unclear whether the four-legged comedian – whose name is Oscar – was playing a practical joke on his human parents or simply trying to make a hasty exit to give them some privacy.
Either way, Bree- who uses the TikTok username breelenehan – couldn’t help but be thoroughly tickled after watching the romantic video back.
Sharing the video on TikTok – where the scene-stealing dog has proven to be quite a hit – the Australian bride-to-be wrote: “I can’t believe this happened just as he was putting the ring on my finger for the first time”.
Bree’s followers haven’t been able to stop laughing at the sight of the cheerful dog obliviously shuffling around in the background of one of the most important moments in his owners’ lives.
One follower described it as “potentially the funniest thing I have ever seen”, while another declared that it was their “favourite proposal video ever”.
Acknowledging full well she’d been overshadowed by the cheeky canine, Bree admitted to commenters, “It’s Oscar’s world and we’re all just living in it”.
